All Division 2 Members:

It is a tradition in Division 2 to hold a planning meeting early in December. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the "State of the Division," set goals and objectives for the next year, and make preliminary plans for major events. This year's planning meeting is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in Rainier Room, Bldg. 4 at the Coast Guard base, Pier 36.

Prior to the meeting, you are encouraged to gather at the Galley on the base for lunch and fellowship. Lunch runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30.

We encourage all members, new and long-term, to attend this meeting to give your input, meet people from other Flotillas, and learn what to expect in 2010. In particular, we need to have elected and appointed officers there, but we especially encourage others to attend as well.

Getting on the base is easiest if you have a membership card and Coast Guard or DoD car sticker. If you don't have a sticker, you may be asked for your drivers license, registration, and proof of insurance. If you don't have a membership card, generally any government-issued ID is sufficient. Worst case, if you have trouble getting in, call me on my cell, 206-271-9095.

Building 4 is the big building on the left as you enter the base. Park in any parking place that doesn't have a blue sign on the bump stop.

Please reply by email if you plan to attend so that we can plan accordingly with regards to space, prepared materials and galley accommodations. If you don't have a card yet, please mention that and we will try to smooth the way with the guards.

I hope to see you there!

Semper Paratus,
